Hearts on Fire’s Architectural Collection

Without doubt, there are several jewelers throughout the world who are known for their exquisite pieces, dazzling creations, and superior workmanship. Hearts on Fire is one of those companies. Founded in 1996 by Glenn and Susan Rothman, the American based company takes pride in being the supplier of “perfect diamonds”. So enraptured with perfection, they trademarked the term ‘The World’s Most Perfectly Cut Diamond”.

Quickly becoming a leader in fine diamonds and luxury jewelry, the company is accepted by the community as one who defines the diamond industry. In 2006, The Robb Report, a magazine that writes about luxurious and expensive products ranging from boats to jewelry, recognized Hearts on Fire as an icon and an innovator. In the same year, the company designed a spectacular six and a half million dollar diamond bra for Victoria’s Secret.

And now they have recently launched their newest collection called the Architectural Collection. Masterfully crafted, this set of seventeen limited pieces was actually highlighted in the October 2008 issue of Architectural Digest, a magazine usually reserved for actual buildings and structures. Interestingly, the creators have chosen eight of the most famous buildings in the world and used their design elements to fashion the pieces of this extraordinary series.

The buildings used and the associated jewelry collection names are:

  • Montreal’s Olympic Stadium – “Encapsulate” necklace and earrings
  • Beijing National Stadium – “Ceremonious” bracelet and ring
  • Sydney Opera House – “Virtuoso” necklace
  • Chicago Spire – “Culmination” earrings and ring
  • Boston Bunker Hill Bridge – “Legendary” necklace and earrings
  • London’s British Museum Glass Canopy – “Convergence” pendant necklace and ring
  • Tokyo’s National Gymnasium – “Boundless” brooch
  • New York’s Art Déco Chrysler Building – “Sculptural” bracelet, earrings, ring

Plenty of diamonds set in white gold, each piece is unique in design from the handmade Ceremonious where no two rings are alike to the moving radials of the Boundless brooch much like a venetian blind!
