All right, now that you have decided to pop the question, the next thing that you are doing to want to do, is figure out your budget.  Honestly, engagement rings do not grow on trees and most of the time, they are super expensive, so you definitely want to make sure that you find the right engagement ring for the right price.

So we all know that springtime is by far the time for weddings.  May, June even July are just a few of the most popular times in the year to get married.  While most blushing brides focus their energy on their dress, most of them forget about the jewelry!  Well ladies, think about the jewelry that you are going to wear on your wedding day, it is very important!

Vera Wang is now trying her hand at wedding jewelry and if you look at this pretty little piece, you will see just how much she is succeeding.  Personally, I think that this beautiful necklace is one of the prettiest things in the world.  I think that is looks like a combination of something old and something new.

This necklace has a very old-time feel to it but it is definitely modern.  The diamonds are incredible and I love the little pearl at the bottom, because we all know that pearls right now are very in!

Well, of course diamond’s are a girl’s best friend — we’ve all known that for years.  But did you realize that platinum is a really close runner up?  A lot of jewelry designers are choosing platinum of yellow gold, white gold, and silver — and when you look at a piece like the one above, it is very easy to see why!

Like this diamond and platinum baby band, just as a for instance.  When you take one look at it, it is hard to understand why you haven’t been checking out works by this designer long before now, right?

In this day and age, it is no wonder that everything is iced in diamonds, including all of our electronics!  Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and even Armani have all entered into the designer phone market and are all creating superior phones that include diamonds, gold, silver and even platinum!  For example, do you see the picture?  Well my darling readers that is the newest Christian Dior phone of diamonds.  It is set with roughly six-hundred-forty-one diamonds in all and it weighs in with about 3.251 carats.

While of course this beautiful phone is going to be expensive, isn’t it so worth it?  To have a phone that is encrusted with diamonds?  Well, I certainly think so, but if you want this phone, you are definitely going to have to make bank because it runs about twenty-eight thousand dollars.  Yes, that is a two and an eight with a whole lot of zeros behind it.

This phone is not just beautiful though, it is a piece of technology – like the flat electro-luminescent keyboard and the fact that it comes with a luxe crocodile holder all make the deal a little sweeter right?  Right.  Have fun!

Well, I certainly didn’t!  I did not expect to be seeing a diamond pendant that was SpongeBob’s face, but there it is!  Now, this pendant was not just created for the heck of it all, this beautiful piece was actually created in honor of SpongeBob SquarePants’ 10th anniversary and it was created by the Simmons Jewelry Co., together with Nickelodeon itself.

Now don’t go thinking that you can purchase this beautiful piece of jewelry for your home collection, this pendant is to be auctioned off for charity, but it is worth roughly $75,000.  It holds about twelve carats of diamonds in all sorts of different colors and is 18-karat yellow and white gold.

So if you are one of the biggest SpongeBob fans and you are looking for a piece of jewelry that will let you have our dear spongy friend around your neck, take a trip on down to Park City, Utah during the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and you will see this beautiful piece up-close and personal!

Personally, I am still getting into the jewelry business and learning about all of the designers out there, but the Asscher family is one of the designers that caught my attention with this stunning piece of jewelry.  Now, the Asscher family has been around since roughly 1854, and if you have been in jewelry that long … wouldn’t know exactly what you are doing?

Not only do they know what they are doing, but they are still creating some of the newest, greatest and all around beautiful pieces of jewelry in the world.  For instance, the beautiful pendant in the picture above is from the newest line they are introducing this year.
